Hailing from the bottom of the World, MACHINES OF
INDETERMINATE ORIGIN come from a place that's not for the faint heart, they come from a place where it snows on Christmas Day (remember it's in the souther hemisphere) they come from a place called VAN DIEMEN'S LAND (aka Tasmania, Australia.
M.O.1.O makes a BIG sound for just two guys, Matt Warren (drummer/vox) and Aaron Metcalf (Guitar) with influences drawn from the likes of Jesu/Godflesh, Sabbath and even early Metallica. They sound like BIG old machines still surveying and navigating their way through a modern landscape.
Here for the first time digitally is their debut EP, 0.5 - PRESUMPTION
"0.5 – Presumption is an exercise in careful, artful repetition. Minimal in movement but very loud and very heavy they couldn’t be better named: they sound like machines." - MESS+NOISE
"It’s also present here, providing an essential spine for a crafted, considered music that manages to satisfy intellectually and thrill the body into rocking right the fuck out. Yes people: M.OI.O is thinking headbangers’ music, with krautrock influences." - THE SWOLLEN EAR
